Reader's Theatre has been called theatre of the imagination and is a creative way to present all kinds of literary texts. Settings, props and costumes are used to a limited degree requiring the audience to participate by using their imaginations. It then becomes a living experience for both audience and readers.

'Tales From the Lockup' was performed in the Western Bay Museum as part of the 2017 Mural and Arts Festival.

The production featured humorous stories from the town's archives, of those who spent time in the town's lockup and who appeared before the Magistrate.

Forta Leza was, once again, host to our 2016 Dinner Theatre season. The first of two plays was Curses, Foiled Again - written by Evelyn Hood and directed by Eryl Raymond.

The play told the story of Dr Joseph Burstein who was born and trained in Vienna.

He was the town's GP for 40 years and the play told many stories of his life in the town.
