Orange Cone Road (2020)

Dorothy faced with a parking fine joins Barry the Statue and Dizzy the Lizard on a journey to visit the Wonderful Wizard for BOP to see if he can help them. Barry wants a bypass for Katikati, Dizzy wants a roundabout for Omokoroa and Dorothy wants her parking fine cancelled so she can continue with her journey.
They meet many colourful characters on the way in this family pantomime.

Badjelly the Witch (2019)

Tim and Rose are looking for Lucy the Cow in the big , black forest when they are captured by Badjelly the Witch. Help! Will Binklebonk the Tree Goblin, Mudwiggle the Worm and Dinglemouse rescue them from Badjelly?

Life is Not What it Seems (2019)

Reader's Theatre has been called theatre of the imagination and is a creative way to present all kinds of literary texts. Settings, props and costumes are used to a limited degree requiring the audience to participate by using their imaginations. It then becomes a living experience for both audience and readers.

Albert Nobbs (2019)

Albert's retirement wasn't quite what he expected and soon his life is turned upside down by the sudden death of hs wife, Connie.

Albert struggles on and then Connie's ghost appears attempting a match-making exercise with her friend Rose.

A Walk in the Woods (2018)

The first production our new 'home' was A Walk in the Woods by Debbie Metzler, directed by Eryl Raymond.

Family Spirit (2018)

Family Spirit was the June/July 2018 Katikai Theatrre Dinner Theatre production at Forta Leza.

Tales from the Lockup (2017)

'Tales From the Lockup' was performed in the Western Bay Museum as part of the 2017 Mural and Arts Festival.

The production featured humorous stories from the town's archives, of those who spent time in the town's lockup and who appeared before the Magistrate.

Dinner Theatre: Building Bridges (2017)

The Dinner Theatre play for the 2017 season was Building Bridges  - written by Colin Calvert and directed by Elisabeth Beamish.


An enviromental group builds a bridge over swampy ground.  What could possibly go wrong?

Dinner Theatre: Curses, Foiled Again (2016)

Forta Leza was, once again, host to our 2016 Dinner Theatre season. The first of two plays was Curses, Foiled Again - written by Evelyn Hood and directed by Eryl Raymond.

Dr Joe (2015)

The play told the story of Dr Joseph Burstein who was born and trained in Vienna.

He was the town's GP for 40 years and the play told many stories of his life in the town.
